Complete Garden Design is perfect for you if…

The Process for Complete Garden Design

    • Free discovery call to discuss your vision for your garden.

    • Your approximate budget you have for the whole project

    • Which design service is the right fit

    • Estimate of what the design fee range will be based on the conversation.

    • Initial in garden meeting (£150, deducted from design fee if you proceed)

    • If I can measure the site I will, otherwise a professional topographical site survey may be needed and charged for.

    • Get your brief; understand what you want in your garden and the style and feel you want to achieve.

    • We establish what the design fee will be.

  • Once we agree the brief and you confirm, I'll begin creating your garden design with clear milestones and delivery dates.

  • Timeline: Approximately 6-12 weeks from start to final delivery. Dependent on size, scope and meeting frequency and progress.

    • Hand-drawn concept sketches exploring 3 different layout options

    • Final CAD design drawn to scale with precise measurements

    • 3D visualisations showing your garden from 4 different viewpoints

    • Detailed planting plan with specific placement plan, quantity list, and 3D visuals

    • Technical drawings landscapers can work from directly

    • Materials & Build Guide to help you choose materials

    • 2 rounds of revisions included

    • Up to 4 scheduled meetings

    • You receive everything needed to get quotes to build your garden.

    • An online questionnaire about how you want to use your garden

    • Photo and video upload facility

    • Guidance on measuring and documenting your space.

  • A 45-60 minute video consultation where I:

    • Clarify your brief and vision

    • Ask questions about your life and how you need to use the garden.

    • Understand the feeling you want to create

    • Confirm my understanding of your space

  • Over the next weeks, I develop:

    • 2 hand-drawn concept sketches showing different layout options

    • Mood boards capturing the style and atmosphere of each design

    • A personal video walkthrough (10-15 minutes) explaining the thinking behind each concept

  • Delivered digitally via email with:

    • High-resolution concept sketches on A4 PDF.

    • Mood boards capturing the style of the garden with photos and visuals

    • Recorded Video explanation from Jo

    • Plant suggestions for each concept

  • Service Agreement and Terms document.

  • Take the sketches and develop them yourself.

  • Set out the key measurements provided with string or bamboo canes to see how it looks on the ground.

  • Show the concepts to a landscaper who can work with you to translate the design on the ground.
